Flute
TRESNA STAMPALIA (Flute) holds both a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the UWA and a Bachelor of Music Degree in Performance from the WA Conservatorium of Music. Tresna was a Principal Flute with the WA Youth Orchestra and Principal Piccolo in the WA Arts Orchestra and has performed and recorded with the WA Symphony Orchestra.
She has also performed in a principal capacity with the Australian Pops Orchestra, the Melbourne Philharmonic and was Principal Flute for Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables and The Sound of Music. Postgraduate activities included masterclasses at the Royal Academy of Music in London, studies in France and recitals in Italy. She tutors in flute at the University of WA and examines for the AMEB.
JAMES CHARLES (Violin) graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1989, with a Bachelor of Music majoring in violin performance. He played for 4 years with the WA Arts Orchestra and spent 18 months as resident violinist at the Burswood Resort, after which he spent two years in London exploring his interest in contemporary chamber music with the Martinu Ensemble and the Australis Ensemble. He is in constant demand as a freelance violinist and is a full-time violin specialist with the Education Department. James conducts orchestras at Churchlands SHS, Shenton College, Mt Lawley SHS, and Carine SHS. He arranges the music that Très Classique performs, manages this web site, and produced our new CD "Paradiso".
Jennika Anthony-Shaw (cello) holds performance degrees from both McGill University in Montreal and the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. Originally from Canada, Jennika is a highly experienced chamber music collaborator and has toured internationally with both string quartet and piano trio ensembles. She has performed solo recitals in the United States and Canada and participated in prestigious summer music festivals such as the Banff Centre for the Arts, the Domaine Forget International Festival, and the Tanglewood Institute.

Cello
Jennika has been playing with Tres Classique since arriving in Perth in 2003. She often performs with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, and a number of other dynamic young music ensembles, among them Wood and the Concorde Piano Trio, both of which were presented by Musica Viva Australia in 2004/05.
SARAH BOWMAN (Harp) has a masters degree from the Julliard School of Music in New York. She has performed in such impressive and diverse locations as Carnegie Hall, Buffalo, Tokyo, Brooklyn and even Reykjavik in Iceland, and has won the Helena Rubenstein Foundation Scholarship, the Tanglewood Fellowship, the William Randolph Hearst Scholarship and many more. SARAH was a soloist for the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra, the New York Metamorphoses Orchestra and the Amherst Symphony Orchestra, played in tribute to John Cage at Carnegie Hall with the SEM Ensemble Orchestra, and had recitals in Casals Hallin Tokyo, the Alice Tully Hall and the Women's City Club of New York, to name a few. She has also played harp in the Broadway Shows A Chorus Line and 42nd Street for their European tour. She is principal harpist for the WA Symphony Orchestra.
